- Had tried everything from resetting winsock at command prompt to installing new dell drivers to uninstalling all anti virus softwares.
- Grabbit Merging your winsock files changed something, but now windows can no longer categorize the problem.

From an earlier comment some one else had a problem with bridged connection turned on as well, so seems something with that broke with the 1511 update. After an hour everything is working. Uninstalled and reinstalled network adaptor, and all working again. I had preinstalled Vista machine; I installed a parental control software "Cybersitter".

C:\Windows\SYSTEM32>netsh winsock reset The following helper DLL cannot be loaded: WSHELPER.DLL. All rights reserved. So I restored the registry keys still didn't work so I went into device manager and uninstalled the WiFi driver then rebooted to let it reinstall everything.
