The printer stayed on even with the computer and the monitor on. The answers can be found and most advanced users know how to find them.
Thanks a bunch. Due to the age of the device and the nature of this problem I think the FUJI rep advised you wisely to seek out an authorized service tech.Xerox builds machines so I think the print head gear is engaged when it isn't supposed to be, and when the sprokets spin really fast moving paper through the drum it also spins the head I also do not see any light from the unit, so presumably the heaters are not working, but I do not get the 15.004.45 code.My question is should the heater light

If it is set to 255 the printer will not make it through ELS and WILL shut its self off.

I could not have got this running without it. It is blocked. It is like dumping a lot of money into a used car which is on its last legs. Flipped reset dip switches 1-4 up and then down.
You can test it first by sending a dos print job to lpt1 and it should print to the usb printer. Please try the request again. Not text, no errors. I bet it picks up paper dust from running through the system and changes the viscosity... First you have to know the name of your computer and the name of the printer.
But, if a wiring or something else goes out (I think someone once mentioned a sensor on this assembly), you'll have to replace the whole unit. by tazzer22 on Oct 27, 2005 at 8:40pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Hi...anyone have a solution for a Phaser 8200's sudden loss of power, and subsequent failure by super21 on Dec 19, 2005 at 9:48am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Why? Then you can connect to the printer through the router at the IP address that it was assigned. I refuse to put any more money into it.Also anyone notice that the "New" 8400 uses a different ink than the 850 or the 8200, and yes it is more exposive.Wonderful,Bill
The roller is not dirty and neither is it slick in texture.
